Drum Sequence
After some marching around the room and songs with drums (e.g. The Grand Old Duke of York
), and if the group is not too big, we like to go around the room and let the babies tap out the syllables in their name on a drum (with caregiver's help). This is a great exercise in phonetic awareness. Give it a try!
