Since it's Fire Prevention Month, we invited the local firefighters out to the library to talk to kids about fire safety.
Also, did you know that you can visit the fire station for an even more comprehensive lesson in fire safety? Of course, check with your station, but most love visits from a group of kids or families. Especially if you bring a thank you treat.
In the end, it's not technically a storytime. But I'm counting it as one...
If they had not been able to show up--because they are on duty, and could've been called to an emergency--then we had back-up plans.
